Trading with historical data saves a lot of time compared to demo trading or other forms of paper trading. You can also adjust the speed of the simulation to skip less important periods and focus on the most important ones.
How it works
Forex Simulator works as an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader. It Combines Metatrader’s best charting capabilities with high-quality tick-by-tick data and an economic calendar to create a powerful trading simulator. Use offline charts that allow you to use indicators, templates, and drawing tools available in MetaTrader.
However, it is not limited to the use of historical data provided by MetaTrader, which is usually of low quality. You can also download and use high quality tick data from Dukascopy and TrueFX.
Not an EA tester
Soft fx simulator is not an EA back tester. It is not possible to test trading robots or scripts. This software was not designed for this.
60 forex pairs, gold, silver, oil, bitcoin, Ethereum, and 12 stock indices
This software gives you access to all major forex pairs and a few other commodities. Choose your favorite product and trade.

The soft4fx forex simulator can chart in one of two modes:
- GMT – all charts are based on Greenwich Mean Time (UTC 0)
- New York Close – all charts The chart is based on New York trading End of session
The difference between these modes can be easily seen on the daily chart. The GMT chart is displayed 6 days a week including the Sunday bar. The New York Close chart only renders 5 days a week. Also, the all-day bar looks a little different because the hours are off by a few hours.
Many traders consider the New York Close chart essential when trading Forex. The importance of the NY Close chart is explained in detail in Nial Fuller’s article.
